History :
The original Castle, first mentionned in the 11th century, became the seat of the Adhemar de Monteil de Grignan family in the 13th century. Over the centuries they transformed the medieval forteress into one of the main Renaissance castles in the South-East France.
The entire site became listed as an historic monument.

Collection : The castle contains an outstanding collection of furniture and works of art. It can be visited thoughout the year and features cultural events which include the most works (classical concerts, jazz, theatre, exhibitions).
